Qualifications

  • 5+ years of actuarial experience, preferably in P&C insurance.
  • Proficiency with SAS, VBA, R, or Python.
  • Desirable qualities include adaptability and critical thinking.

We are looking for a Senior Analytics Consultant to join BrokerLink, working out of our Blackfoot Trail, AB or Toronto, ON office, on a permanent full-time basis.

What the Role Entails:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize sustainable predictive analytics models to enhance broker and customer experience
  • Work independently on challenging, strategic projects such as customer profiling & segmentation, client retention & cross-sell, and more
  • Drive change by improving work processes and providing substantive observations, conclusions, and recommendations
  • Analyze large volumes of data from multiple sources to identify business opportunities and strategic solutions, sharing conclusions and recommendations within established timelines
  • Support and collaborate with internal stakeholders, including front-line managers, HR, finance, and technology, to advance analytics processes

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Equivalent skills—please apply if you believe you qualify
  • University degree
  • Certifications in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or Economics; ACAS or FCAS preferred
  • 5+ years of actuarial experience, preferably in P&C insurance
  • Proficiency with SAS, VBA, R, or Python
  • Desirable qualities: adaptability, innovation, analytical thinking, decision-making, critical thinking, excellent communication, planning and organization, team-oriented approach
