ABOUT THE TEAM

The Portfolio Management team supports directly the Real Estate Investment team. This includes the preparation of corporate and asset management reporting, business planning and capital planning oversight, sustainable investment reporting and pipeline oversight. The team is also responsible for the development of dashboards, ensuring data governance and performing system administration.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the development of dashboards and reports for portfolio monitoring and asset management activities. The role also includes advancing analytical capabilities through the creation of data products, providing accurate portfolio data for reporting, assisting with sustainability initiatives, annual capital planning, development project reporting, and debt management processes. Additionally, the incumbent will collaborate on ad-hoc analytical requests, maintain data and technology landscapes, ensure accurate data flow between systems, and provide timely updates to stakeholders.

As a Senior Analyst, Portfolio Management, you will:

Portfolio Analytics & Dashboarding

  • Collaborate with the Manager, Portfolio Management, to develop dashboards and reports in iLevel for portfolio monitoring and asset management requirements

  • Develop and oversee the capital plan reporting, ensuring that all financial forecasts align with investment strategies and budget allocations

  • Produce quarterly updates of leverage positions; communicate timely expiries and covenant testing results

  • Generate quarterly Development Project reporting in collaboration with the Real Estate Director of Developments

  • Leverage available market data to enhance analytics and reporting initiatives across the portfolio

  • Develop sustainability dashboards with the Sustainability and Climate Innovation team to provide insights and track KPIs for investors by leveraging the sustainable data collection process

  • Advance the analytical capabilities of PSP by developing data products and industrializing recurring analytic requests through Insight Stack and corporate initiatives

  • Provide accurate and timely portfolio data for reporting as requested for Business Partner groups and the Real Estate Leadership team

  • Collaborate with the Portfolio Strategy team to support ad-hoc analytical requests

Data Management & Technology Support

  • Act as a system administrator for the portfolio monitoring system (iLevel)

  • Participate in the maintenance of the data and technology landscape, by collaborating with TDO to maintain data lineage documentation, and accurate documentation of analytical products

  • Ensure accurate flow of data between PSP systems through publishing and subscription activities

  • Provide timely updates to concerned stakeholders on progress and changes on all portfolios and project activities as it relates to data initiatives

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, business technology management, data science or equivalent degree

  • Two (2) to five (5) years of working experience, preferably in an institutional environment

  • Professional designation such as CFA considered an asset

  • Proven experience reconciling large volumes of data

  • Knowledge of institutional Real Estate Investments considered an asset

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, ability to query and manipulate datasets (i.e. Snowflake, Excel)

  • Programming skills (primarily Python, SQL or equivalent)

  • Knowledge of business intelligence systems (i.e. Power BI, Tableau)

  • A strong understanding of operational processes, tools and capabilities for supporting data services

  • An interest in understanding institutional real estate, portfolio management, and financial reporting concepts

  • Strong sense of research and problem solving

  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail

  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy

  • A focus on continuous improvement, and quality of delivery

  • Bilingualism English and French (Frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
