About The Role

What You’ll Do Here
  • Participate in strategic initiatives that enhance pricing sophistication within ratemaking and help explain nationwide performance by supporting earnings call preparation.
  • Deliver actuarial support for large-account pricing across more than 22 lines of business, strengthening governance through indications, rate committees, and corporate planning processes.
  • Drive change by improving work processes, adopting modern technologies and making substantial observations, conclusions and recommendations.
  • Use your expertise to resolve complex problems and help your colleagues do the same by sharing your actuarial knowledge.
  • Help guide and prioritize the team’s work and coach effectively to strengthen both individual and group success.
  • Share the conclusions of your analysis to the appropriate stakeholders and make recommendations within the established timelines.
What You Bring To The Table
  • University Degree or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Certifications in Mathematics or Actuarial (ACAS preferred).
  • 3 years or more of actuarial experience, preferably in the P&C Insurance sector.
  • Good knowledge of Python, VBA, R or SAS.
  • Desired competencies: adaptability, innovation, analytical thinking, decision making, critical thinking, stellar communication, planning and organizing, team oriented.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required.
  • No Canadian work experience required; must be eligible to work in Canada.
