Job summary

Intact Financial Corporation is seeking Consultants in Actuarial to join our growing teams in Canada. You will actively participate in coaching actuarial analysts and lead large-scale projects in ratemaking, reinsurance, and corporate planning.

The role requires 5+ years of actuarial experience, ACAS/FCAS preferred, and strong skills in Python, Excel, VBA or SAS. Bilingualism in Quebec is valued to collaborate with English-speaking colleagues across the country.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Certification in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial, ACAS or FCAS preferred.
• 5+ years of actuarial experience (P&C insurance preferred).
• Good knowledge of Python, Excel, VBA or SAS.

Salary range (but not limited to): 109,900 - 134,300 Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance): 12% As part of our commitment to Win As A Team, we share our success with employees through our annual bonus plan and Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) – with Intact matching 50% of your net shares. About the role

What you’ll do here:

• Actively participate in the coaching and training of actuarial analysts
• Work autonomously on challenging and strategic projects in areas such as ratemaking, reinsurance, corporate planning, data science, reserving and more.
• Use your expertise to lead large‑scale actuarial projects.
• Demonstrate your leadership by contributing to business strategy discussions, seizing opportunities and sharing your passion and vision.
• Provide guidance to your colleagues through coaching, complex problem‑solving and both technical and peer reviews.

What you bring to the table:

• University Degree or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Certification in Mathematics, Statistic, Actuarial, ACAS or FCAS preferred.
• 5 years or more of actuarial experience (preferably in the P&C Insurance sector).
• Good knowledge of Python, Excel, VBA or SAS.
• Desirable competencies: adaptability, innovative, analytical, decision‑making, critical thinking, stellar communication, planning, organizing and team oriented.
• For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English‑speaking colleagues across the country.
• No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
