Job summary

EY Canada seeks an AI Engineer to design and build production-grade AI and agentic AI solutions for clients. You will work across engagements with business stakeholders, AI Architects, and Data Scientists to translate complex challenges into practical, scalable AI systems.

The role focuses on developing AI/ML pipelines, governance, observability, and cost-aware deployment in cloud environments, driving measurable business outcomes with responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/DS/Engineering (MSc/PhD advantageous).
• 5–8+ years in AI development; 2+ years on production-grade AI/agentic solutions.
• Hands-on ML/DL algorithm development at scale.
• Strong experience with AI libraries and frameworks.
• Foundational statistics and mathematical modeling knowledge.
• Advanced Python for production code; Java/TS familiarity is a plus.
• Experience building and deploying AI agents and AI/ML solutions.
• Containerisation with Docker/Kubernetes; CI/CD and observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement production-grade agentic AI workflows across client engagements.
• Build and optimise retrieval pipelines for RAG and agentic workflows.
• Develop Generative/Agentic AI solutions using LLMs/SLMs.
• Create evaluation frameworks and telemetry to monitor model performance and costs.
• Apply ML/DL methods to real-world AI/ML problems at scale across environments.
• Implement MLOps/LLMOps and cloud deployment with CI/CD for high availability.
• Establish AI governance and responsible AI controls.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to EY AI assets and standards.
