Job summary

EY Canada is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the AI Centre of Excellence within the Office of the Chief Technology Officer. You will design and deploy advanced ML pipelines, implement LLM solutions, and translate research into enterprise-scale AI applications.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to actionable insights, and uphold responsible AI standards while staying current with AI/ML advancements.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, AI, ML or closely related field.
• 4–6 years of hands-on experience delivering impactful AI/ML solutions in enterprise or research settings.
• Proficient with Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch and/or TensorFlow); data wrangling, feature engineering, and ML pipeline automation.
• Experience with GenAI/LLM architectures, generative AI use cases, and model fine-tuning and deployment.
• Familiarity with ML lifecycle management, ML Ops concepts, and deployment on Azure ML or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Strong team orientation and ability to work in diverse, cross-functional environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to articulate complex technical concepts and contribute to research outputs.
• Analytical thinker with a track record of innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and optimize ML pipelines for enterprise and research applications.
• Implement, fine-tune, and evaluate large language model (LLM) solutions for diverse use cases.
• Translate academic research into scalable AI solutions aligned with EY’s objectives.
• Support end-to-end model lifecycle including training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, stakeholders, and product teams.
• Communicate technical results clearly and contribute to research publications.
