Altis Technology is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist for a 9-month contract in Etobicoke, ON. The role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days on-site per week, with compensation of $30 to $35 per hour and strong English communication skills.

The successful candidate will manage full-cycle AP across a multi-brand retail environment, collaborate with the Controller and Senior Accountant, and drive timely payments and accurate vendor reconciliations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounts payable experience.
• Hands-on Microsoft Dynamics NAV experience is required.
• Strong experience with invoice processing, vendor reconciliations and payment runs.
• Experience in a high-volume environment, preferably multi-brand retail or similar.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable activities within a high-volume environment.
• Review and process invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Coordinate vendor payments via EFT, ACH, wires and cheques.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end activities and audits.
• Build relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve inquiries.

About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established organization in the retail sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team for a 9-month contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent opportunity.

This is a hands-on role supporting a centralized Accounts Payable function across multiple brands and a diverse portfolio of merchandise and non-merchandise vendors. Youll work closely with the Controller, Senior Accountant and Junior AP Specialist in a small, collaborative team where you can take ownership and make an immediate impact.

Your Responsibilities

• Youll manage full-cycle Accounts Payable activities within a high-volume, multi-brand environment.
• Youll review and process merchandise and non-merchandise invoices accurately and efficiently.

Skills and Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive, full-cycle Accounts Payable experience.
• Hands-on Microsoft Dynamics NAV experience is required.
• Strong experience with invoice processing, vendor reconciliations and payment runs.
• Experience in a high-volume environment, with retail or a similar multi-vendor environment considered an asset.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to independently investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
