• Pay or shift range: $70,000 CAD to $90,000 CAD
  We’re committed to fair and transparent pay. The salary for this role is based on a 35-hour work week, which is standard at DMCL. This work week is up to 14% shorter than some comparable positions with other organizations. Ask us more about working extra hours if you are interested in enhancing your compensation. About the role

We’re currently looking for a Senior Accountant, Private Enterprise to join our Vancouver office. In this role, you will support the delivery of compilation, review, and audit engagements, prepare financial statements and tax filings, and act as a key contributor in serving a diverse portfolio of private-sector clients.

You will work closely with supportive Partners and Senior Managers across a variety of industries, gaining exposure to different leadership styles, client types, and technical challenges. This team values mentorship, collaboration, and continuous development — you’ll be surrounded by colleagues working toward their CPA, with opportunities to both learn from others and coach junior staff. How you’ll make a difference

• Lead key areas of clientengagements— supporting planning, execution, and completion of compilation, review, and audit files, helping deliveraccurate,timely, high-quality work that clients trust.
• Prepare corporate, personal, and trust tax filings— ensuring compliance andidentifyingopportunities for clients, contributing to a seamless year‑end experience.
• Support and coach junior staff— answering questions, reviewing work, and fostering a learning culture, helping develop the next generation of accountants on the team.
• Build strong client relationships— managing information requests, communicating clearly, and addressing questions, becoming a reliable point of contact and trustedresource.

Who you are

• 3+ years of public practice experience, ideally working with private enterprise clients
• CPA designated or actively pursuing designation (we will support your progression and CPA experience requirements)
• Experience preparing and reviewing compilation and review engagements, corporate and personal tax returns, and completing year‑end working papers
• Strong communication skills, a team‑first mindset, and a desire to mentor and support junior staff
• A proactive learner who enjoys working with multiple Partners and Managers, and someone who thrives in a collaborative, in‑office environment (4–5 days per week)
• Someone who sees long‑term career growth in public practice and wants to build leadership skills while contributing to a supportive and high‑performing team culture
