DMCL LLP in Vancouver seeks a Cloud Bookkeeper / Cloud Accountant with experience in QuickBooks Online to join our expanding Cloud Accounting team.

The role focuses on maintaining client records in QBO and supporting tools such as Hubdoc, Plooto, and Payment Evolution, delivering accurate monthly reporting and helping clients improve efficiency.

This hybrid position offers exposure to diverse clients and a path to grow technical accounting expertise in a cloud‑based practice.

Competenze

• 2+ years of accounting experience in public practice is an asset.
• Comfortable using QuickBooks Online; experience with Xero or Sage 50 is a plus.

• Pay or shift range: $54,000 CAD to $65,000 CAD
  We’re committed to fair and transparent pay. The salary for this role is based on a 35-hour work week, which is standard at DMCL. About the role

DMCL is seeking a Cloud Bookkeeper / Cloud Accountant with experience in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to join our expanding Cloud Accounting team.

This role supports DMCL’s Private Enterprise practice, focusing on providing accurate, technology-driven accounting solutions to small and medium-sized business clients. The role involves maintaining client financial records through QBO and supporting tools such as Hubdoc, Plooto, and Payment Evolution, with the goal of improving client efficiency, accuracy, and financial insight.

This role offers exposure to a wide range of clients and industries and is ideal for someone interested in growing their technical accounting expertise in a cloud-based environment.

This position is based in our Vancouver office, with a hybrid work model available.

How you’ll make a difference

• Deliver clear and timely reporting. Manage monthly bookkeeping responsibilities such as bank and credit card reconciliations, transaction coding, accounts payable and expense management. Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports to help clients track performance and guide business strategy.
• Maintain compliance and reduce risk. Accurately manage GST, HST, and PST filings to help clients meet tax obligations efficiently and avoid errors or penalties.
• Support smooth client transitions. Onboard new clients into QBO, ensuring proper data setup and conversion for long-term success.
• Enhance accuracy, workflow efficiency, and client communications. Keep client records organized and up to date to ensure precise reporting, smooth workflows, and professional client communications.
• Stay current with technology. Learn about new applications in the industry and how they can make bookkeeping more efficient.

Who you are

You enjoy bookkeeping and accounting and like working with different clients and projects. You want to be part of a team where you can learn from managers, partners and coworkers, help clients using QuickBooks Online.

While CPA pursuit is not required for this role, we welcome candidates who may wish to pursue the designation down the road. The Cloud Accounting team follows a unique development model that differs from our traditional CPA training stream, offering a strong hands‑on learning experience focused on technology and client service.

• 2+ years of experience in accounting, cloud accounting, or bookkeeping (public practice experience is an asset).
• Comfortable using QuickBooks Online; experience with Xero or Sage 50 is a plus.
