MacKay Contracting in Cranbrook, BC, is seeking a Senior Accountant who can own the accounting for several entities from end to end, working with our Controller and CFO. You will oversee the full accounting cycle, including intercompany activity, month-end close, and external year-end reporting.

This on-site role offers the opportunity to build depth within Finance, support a growing group across Western Canada and the United States, and contribute to robust, reliable financial reporting.

Formación

• Month-end and year-end close experience from start to finish in a multi-entity environment.
• Experience with ASPE and preparing year-end files for external accountants.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience or comparable ownership.

Responsabilidades

• Own month-end close for multiple entities and ensure complete journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage physical inventory process across aggregates and contracting operations and explain adjustments.
• Oversee supplier accounting with AP Lead and ensure costs are recorded accurately.
• Prepare working papers, reconciliations, schedules for external accountants during year-end.
• Improve finance processes and data cleanliness across accounting and project systems.
