Job summary

ASR Group is seeking a detail-oriented accountant for its Toronto operation. The role focuses on coordinating monthly close, preparing journal entries, and delivering accurate financial statements within a changing, IT-driven environment.

Candidates should have a CPA in progress, 2–3 years of accounting experience (Big 4 preferred), and strong Excel/ERP skills. Manufacturing industry experience is a plus, with a collaborative, proactive approach encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• CPA in progress; CMA considered a plus.
• 2–3 years accounting experience, Big 4 preferred.
• Extensive ERP experience, SAP preferred.
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly close process including quarterly and year-end procedures.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly financial reporting package and annual audited statements.
• Analyze monthly cost and variances; prepare financial commentaries.
• Manage balance sheet accounts and payroll accounting reconciliations.
• Assist with audits, tax requests and monthly consolidations.
