Job summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a professional services team in Oakville, working in-office. The role reports to the CFO and covers core accounting functions with emphasis on accuracy and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in general accounting with receivables and payroll, be proficient in Excel, and possess ERP experience (Sage 300/QuickBooks). A proactive, reliable attitude and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a general accounting role with receivables and payroll responsibilities.
• Similar ERP experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong aptitude in learning new technology tools.
• A GREAT attitude, professional demeanor, and excellent communications skills are MANDATORY.
• You must be tactful, respectful, dependable and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Accounts receivable and collections.
• Billing administration and cash applications.
• Semi-monthly staff payroll, ensuring accurate deductions and government remittances.
• General accounting duties including accounts payable and bank reconciliations.
• Budgeting and revenue reports including monthly cash reports, financial reports and investment summaries.
• Ad-hoc work as requested by Administration.
• Systems used: Sage 300, QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.

About The Role

Working along side and supporting the Administration office, you would report into the CFO. Your duties would include but not be limited to:
