• Assist with budgeting uploads and related periods.
• Perform bi-weekly and month-end bank reconciliations.
• Coordinate with Customer Billing, AP and AR as needed.

General Accountant

Location: Woodbridge, Ontario - On-site

Employment type: Permanent, full-time

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year + RRSP match + benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (8 hours per day)

About the Opportunity

Our client is looking for a General Accountant to join its Finance & Accounting team.

Reporting to the Controller, you will support the month-end and year-end close, own key balance sheet and bank reconciliations, and help keep the finance function running smoothly.

It is a hands‑on role in a plant environment, well suited to an accountant who wants broad exposure across the accounting cycle.

What You'll Do

Financial Reporting and Account Analysis

• Assist with month-end and year-end financial reports, delivered by the designated working day each month
• Help prepare and review balance sheet general ledger accounts and supporting lead schedules
• Process monthly adjusting journal entries
• Perform monthly inventory ledger reconciliations and prepare inventory adjustment reports
• Help maintain fixed asset schedules and process monthly depreciation
• Support year-end audit and review activities
• Assist with uploading annual budgets into Microsoft Business Central
• Complete bi‑weekly and month‑end reconciliations of all bank accounts
• Prepare monthly bank compliance reports
• Provide cross‑functional support to Customer Billing, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as needed
• Assist with monthly HST and WSIB filings
• Help prepare duty drawback reports and the annual U.S. sales report

What You Bring

• 2-3 years of accounting experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central (preferred)
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention to detail
• Self‑motivated and proactive, comfortable working independently and as part of a group
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
