Senior Accountant

Hybrid - 2/3 days onsite
Dallas, TX

Compensation: $90 - $110k (depending on experience)

Position Summary:

One of Vaco’s clients is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, including reconciliations, private equity, multinational firms, and global organizations. Public accounting experience is desired but not required.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
2. Manage general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
3. Maintain company’s finance leases and right of use assets within the framework of US GAAP and IFRS.
4. Prepare financial statements, review accounts payable, journal entries, and analyze balance sheets and income statements.
5. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
6. Partner with cross-functional teams to address financial reporting and operational issues.
7. Contribute to process improvements and automation to streamline financial workflows.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong background in general ledger and financial reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
• Skill and comfort working in an automated environment (Excel, Word, Outlook, PeopleSoft, and various custom databases).
