About the Opportunity

Accounting & Finance Accountabilities

• Manage daily treasury operations for corporate brokerage and incorporated agents, including bank reconciliations, fraud protection, EFT preparation, cheque management, and cash flow tracking.
• Prepare and analyze complex journal entries, including revenue recognition, doubtful accounts, and revenue accruals.
• Reconcile franchise fees and analyze variances, including data import and reconciliation with financial systems.
• Import monthly LoneWolf trial balances into Great Plains.
• Manage month-end closing activities for incorporated agents.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Financial & Operating Reporting

• Conduct variance analysis of branch income statements and ensure high-quality review processes.
• Analyze operational reports such as awards, sponsorships, and arrears.

Internal Control & Compliance

• Maintain treasury, purchase & payables, and month-end controls with timely secondary reviews.
• Collaborate to improve financial processes and controls.
• Prepare regulatory filings and liaise with auditors.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analyses as needed.

About You

• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, familiar with IFRS GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros) and familiar with other MS Office tools & Google Sheets.
• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
• Recognized professional designation (CPA.CA, CPA.CMA, CPA.CGA) is an asset.
• Experience in brokerage, real estate, LoneWolf, and Microsoft Great Plains is an asset.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000/year
