Job Purpose

This position reports to the Director of Sales, Sales Vice President, Vice-President of Sales, or Branch Manager. The Senior Account Manager is responsible for driving all aspects of the sales process within assigned customer segments, acting as the primary face-to-face proactive sales contact for network services, IT professional services, IT managed services, and hardware-related IT products. The role involves managing customer relationships, identifying and closing key opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction alongside achieving revenue and gross profit targets.

The successful candidate will develop and implement sales plans and strategies to meet sales goals effectively.

Essential Functions

  1. Develop strategies to increase revenues and gross profits within assigned customer segments, maintaining high activity levels to achieve results. (50%)
  2. Lead overall sales efforts and coordinate with overlay sales/technical resources such as Practice Leads and Technical Sales Engineers.
  3. Identify new solution opportunities, protect existing revenue streams, manage communication, escalate issues, and maintain customer satisfaction. (30%)
  4. Maintain an accurate sales funnel and provide reliable forecasts related to network and IT services/solutions. (10%)
  5. Participate in account team reviews and strategy sessions to protect existing business and generate new revenue. (10%)

Experience

Ten (10) years or more of experience preferred, including large/strategic account management and experience in network services, IT professional services, IT managed services, and hardware-related IT products.

Education

Four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

The pay range for this role is:

CAD 89,000 - 130,000 per year (Calgary Office).
