Sr. Account Manager, Costco

Work Mode:Remote

Location: Remote - Canada

Opportunity

The Senior Account Manager, Costco role will be accountable for achieving sales and profit objectives in all plumbing categories within the specified Retail account(s). With full P&L responsibility this role is accountable for developing and maintaining strong and influential relationships with key customers and collaborating internally with key stakeholders to deliver best in class insights and solutions which help develop and execute mutually beneficial joint business plans and deliver sustainable growth. This individual will also lead and drive engagement with internal partners in Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, E-Commerce, etc.

Key Accountabilities

Account Planning

  • Develops comprehensive account plans to deliver all plumbing category targets & objectives and identifies opportunities to offset risk and accelerate growth within the account(s).
  • Manages the customer investment budget at assigned customers in conjunction with Kohler Finance, Marketing and Revenue Management teams.
  • Leads the development and execution of short & long term customer strategic plans including market share growth initiatives and improved customer satisfaction (NPS).

Account Relationships & Performance

  • Builds influential relationships at all levels of the account to understand the customer needs and build plans to address and drive growth.
  • Leads the development and presentation of all proposals within Product Line Reviews and business reviews including product, pricing and promotion.
  • Ownership of the rollout of new products and any resets within the categories including proposal, SKU setup, order placement, order fulfillment, in-store execution, POP/merchandising, and post-set performance.
  • Develops consistently accurate and timely forecasts using a variety of inputs from both consumption and shipment perspective, adopting a continuous improvement mind-set.
  • Active involvement to optimize customer service levels and efficiency to help minimize total delivered cost.
  • Collaborates with all internal functions to understand and leverage customer strategies to successfully sell Kohler Canada programs and initiatives.

Skills/Requirements

  • 5-10 years of Sales, Category Management, Marketing and/or Sales Strategy experience required.
  • 4-5 years of direct account management experience including selling, negotiating, and leveraging insights to deliver tailored customer plans preferred.
  • Customer experience with a proven ability to deliver successful solutions that cover product, placement, promotion and/ or pricing; with an excellent track record of meeting/ exceeding sales objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to develop long term, effective and influential business relationships with key decision makers which drive mutual growth.
  • Ability to assess needs, propose mutually beneficial solutions, overcome objections, demonstrate resilience, and manage conflict with a positive & confident mind-set and close sale to maximize mutual value.
  • Experience in developing and managing a budget and sales revenue optimization required.
  • Experience with big box Home Improvement Retailers such as Costco, The Home Depot and RONA within hard goods and/or consumables or related industry required.
  • Bilingual (English/French) preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalentrequired.
