Qualifications

  • Proven success in direct sales within the financial markets community.

Title : Senior Account Executive

Reporting to : Vice President of Communication Sales, North America

Location : Toronto, Canada

Role Type : Full-time, Hybrid

Role Overview :

As the Senior Account Executive, Canada Market, you will be responsible for building relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs, and promoting our innovative services and solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven individual with a passion for technology and a desire to excel in sales within the fintech industry.

Responsibilities :

  • Sell suite of IPC Trading Communication products and services into target customer base and new accounts, particularly SaaS, PaaS, and subscription services.
  • Partner with clients to define and develop long-term meaningful relationships with stakeholders including C-suite, mid-level change makers, and business users.
  • Develop a strong understanding of IPC’s high-value market space and competitive offerings to solution sell to prospects.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies to secure new accounts, markets, and business.
  • Consistently build, nurture, and develop new pipeline opportunities.
  • Provide management reporting as required, including maintenance of funnel and forecast in Salesforce.com.
  • Increase market awareness and market share of IPC solutions.
  • Systematically develop new accounts / markets leveraging relationships, business development activities through leads, and own knowledge.

Impact :

  • Work as an individual contributor within a fast-paced sales team environment with targets and revenue deadlines.
  • Lead all Canadian market activities, acting as a functional head of market to coordinate efforts with dotted line reports including engineers, customer success managers, and field operations technicians to ensure a positive customer experience and outcome.
  • Work within a wider team encompassing product development, marketing, and sales operations.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of trading industry technology and buying cycles.
  • Achieve or exceed sales and business targets within assigned account base and target accounts.
  • Keep updated on new players and evolutions in the industry.
  • Generate new revenue through closing sales to new business customers.
  • Develop a contact matrix within assigned accounts and maintain good relationships.
  • Work with stakeholders to present and maintain a unified strategy, updating account plans monthly in SFDC.
  • Present regular product updates to clients to explore full suite opportunities.
  • Cold call prospects, set appointments, and track opportunities.
  • Develop industry knowledge on trends, emerging technologies, and competitors.
  • Manage sales funnel and monitor sales activity using Salesforce.
  • Maintain relationships up to C-Level, resolve problems, and identify opportunities.
  • Attend local networking events to generate new sales leads.
  • Collaborate and learn from sales team colleagues regarding training and development.

Essential Skills and Experience :

  • 5 years of financial market sales experience in telecommunications, SaaS, PaaS, compliance, consultancy, or equivalent.
  • Proven success in direct sales within the financial markets community or similar.
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales quotas and targets.
  • Experience positioning solutions to add value to client technology adoption and productivity.
