AutoCanada is the largest Canadian owned and publicly traded automotive dealer group operating in Canada and the US. We are innovative, data-driven and our commitment to our Team Members, customers and operational excellence fuels our success.
Our dealership Team Members are at the heart of our success, building long-lasting, trust-based relationships with customers across Canada. Our national network provides opportunities and support to build the career that’s right for you. Working here is fast-paced, non-stop, and a little unpredictable—and we love it.
We’re looking for an experienced Vehicle Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team! You’ll be responsible for analysing target vehicles for purchase and executing purchases based on their research. You’ll take direction from the Territory Manager on day-to-day strategy and provide marketplace feedback and analysis of their day-to-day activity. As a Specialist, you’ll be expected to perform in a high-risk environment by demonstrating an ability to make quick and informed decisions based on industry-specific data.
The role involves identifying and analyzing vehicle purchase opportunities through dealership appraisals, offsite auctions, and online platforms, making independent purchasing decisions based on thorough analysis. You will assess vehicle damage, monitor market trends in Canada and the USA, and make timely, financially sound decisions to meet purchasing and profit margin goals. Strong interpersonal skills, a client-focused approach, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential, along with attention to detail and financial acumen. Previous sales or wholesale vehicle experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred, along with a government-issued Salesperson’s permit.
And those are just the basics. We strive every day to create a workplace culture that embraces diversity and inclusivity, ensures fairness and equal opportunities, and foster a sense of belonging for all Team Members. As an equal opportunity employer, we actively support everyone in expressing themselves and reaching their full potential.
We hope so. It’s equally as important that you choose us as we choose you. Take a sneak peek at what we think makes this one of the best workplaces around.
