Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for an SEM/SCL Tunnel Surveyor to join our team.

-Project: subway/tunnel project

-Estimated length: 24 months, with the possibility of extension. We aim to place candidates in other projects after completion for continuity.

-Summary: The Tunnel Surveyor (SEM) ensures the accuracy and efficiency of the Sequential Excavation Method (SEM), overseeing all surveying activities related to tunnel excavation, lining installation, and data collection.

• Lead and conduct all surveying activities related to SEM, including excavation, lining installation, and cavern support.
• Oversee survey equipment use and maintenance, including total stations, multi-stations, and laser scanners.
• Collaborate with the SEM team to excavate caverns accurately, scan surfaces, measure lining thickness, and plan rock bolt layouts.
• Maintain quality control to meet project specifications and tolerances.
• Prepare detailed shift reports with production data and as-built information.
• Install and maintain network brackets and control points as instructed.
• Conduct regular monitoring measurements as per project standards.
• Assist other SEM surveyors as needed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and attend safety training sessions.

- Requirements/Skills:

• At least 4 years of experience as an SEM/SCL Tunnel Surveyor in tunnel, railway, or heavy civil projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Experience working in underground environments or tunnels.
• Proficiency with survey equipment, especially Leica devices.
• Experience working safely around heavy machinery.
• Strong understanding of SEM principles; prior SEM cavern experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced underground environment and adapt to shift schedules.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to project standards.
• Strong safety focus.

- Working Hours: Shift timings to be confirmed; options include rotational day/night shifts, 8- or 12-hour shifts, with vacation and holiday entitlements, health insurance, and transport bonuses.
