Our team is mobilizing its design and construction crews, with major works to commence in 2023. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.
The project will support an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction, strengthening Ontario’s economy.
What is the project?
- A six-kilometre tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River)
- Stations:
- One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station
- Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations
- Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown)
The Benefits to Ontario?
- Faster, more frequent, and reliable access to rapid transit, with more than 227,500 people living within a 10-minute walk of an Ontario Line station
- Improved quality of life for commuters by reducing daily travel time

Job Description
The position of Quality Assurance Coordinator involves coordinating Non-Conformance management on the project, assisting teams in closing inspection & test plans promptly, and ensuring compliance with ISO and contractual requirements for the Ontario Transit Group’s Quality department for the Ontario Line South Project.
Duties include:
- Coordinate issuance and progress of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) based on daily field reports, client requests, or deviations from requirements.
- Liaise with relevant teams to propose corrective actions and follow up for timely closure.
- Review root causes and corrective actions for NCRs.
- Coordinate with Construction and Quality teams to gather supporting documents for inspections and tests and ensure timely close-out.
- Coordinate with Document Control to upload completed records.
- Perform occasional 1st party audits to assess internal compliance, objectives, KPIs, risks, and opportunities.
- Perform occasional 2nd party audits on suppliers and subcontractors to assess compliance.
- Coordinate with auditees to close findings.
- Contribute to annual updates of the Quality Manual and relevant management plans.
- Assist in internal, joint venture, and client reporting on quality aspects.
- Apply excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Maintain documentation and reporting skills.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality on infrastructure projects, preferably in Ontario.
- Experience in ISO 9001:2015 auditing and other standards is an asset.
- Experience with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) is an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Excellent organization and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with document management software such as SharePoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM360, ProjectWise, Procore, Dalux, Asite is an asset.
- Reliable and willing to work additional hours as needed.
