We are seeking a highly motivated Land Surveyor / Project Manager to join our team full-time. We offer a dynamic work environment with an experienced technical team, providing continuous challenges across the engineering and design spectrum.

Phasor Engineering is expanding across North America, supporting large-scale power projects in Canada and the USA. As a subsidiary of Quanta Services, a leader in infrastructure solutions for electric power, utilities, and communications, we are investing heavily in growth and need professionals to support this expansion.

The Geomatics division provides comprehensive survey services within the Quanta group. We are looking for professional land surveyors willing to obtain additional licenses in Eastern States and all provinces; Phasor will cover all related expenses. Work arrangements may include remote or hybrid options based on the candidate's circumstances.

Your responsibilities include supervising work in licensed jurisdictions, with opportunities to work within our LiDAR or UAV service lines if interested.

Responsibilities:

  3. Oversee project financials, establish cost controls, and perform risk reviews.
  4. Liaise with Phasor personnel to understand project requirements, scheduling, costs, technical, and logistical considerations.
  5. Manage subcontractors performing Geomatics work.
  6. Coordinate shift schedules, accommodations, and mobilization for crew members unless delegated.
  7. Participate in division-level meetings for crew allocation and future workload planning.
  8. Instruct and supervise project team members, ensuring proper procedures and safety policies are followed.
  9. Review work quality, provide instructions for deficiencies, and ensure accurate project charges and reporting.
  10. Participate actively in safety policies, meetings, and develop safety plans if needed.
Education and Experience:
  • Diploma or Degree in Geomatics or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager.
  • Safety tickets are assets.
  • Valid Driver's License.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to work at remote project locations.
  • Instructional skills for Crew Chiefs.
  • Strong communication and English proficiency.
  • Good computer skills (Excel, Outlook, equipment-specific software).
  • Supervisory and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of project types and cultural awareness.

This professional role involves thorough discussions. Phasor values a cooperative team environment, offers competitive compensation, and promotes professional development. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity.

Benefits:
  • Dental, vision, and health care.
  • Disability and life insurance.
  • Employee assistance and wellness programs.
  • On-site gym and parking.
  • Paid time off and RRSP matching.
