Job summary

River Cree Resort & Casino is seeking a Security Systems Technician to install and troubleshoot video surveillance and integrated access control networks at our Alberta property. The role requires working in varied environments, climbing, and outdoor conditions, with strict adherence to gaming regulations and company procedures.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience as a System Technician on large security systems, with Genetec Security Center and DMP certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years experience as a System Technician on large security systems.
• Must have Genetec Security Center Technical Certification.
• DMP Certification required.
• Experience with Assa Abloy platforms would be an asset.
• Fall Arrest, Aerial Platform, CSTS certificates required.
• Willing to work shifts, including overnights, weekends and holidays.
• Must pass criminal record checks and AGLC screening if required.
• Knowledge of camera and alarm reporting for AGLC regulated casinos.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot video surveillance equipment and integrated access control/alarm networks.
• Physically mount and hang network devices safely as part of the resort system.
• Troubleshoot defective devices and perform repairs.
• Maintain documentation per company policy.
• Adhere to Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.
• Meet deadlines under pressure while working in a casino environment.
• Work across shifts including late nights and holidays.

Job description

The Security Systems Technician is responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of video surveillance equipment and integrated access control/alarm network equipment. This position requires the ability to work in all types of environments including confined spaces, at heights requiring ladder and lift work, in limited lighting, and outdoors. This position also requires compliance with gaming regulations and maintaining compliance to company procedures.

Overview

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of camera and alarm reporting requirements within AGLC Regulated Casinos
• Ability to physically mount and hang network devices related as part of the resort system
• Ability to troubleshoot and correct defective devices as required
• Maintain appropriate documentation as required by company policy
• Ensure all devices are mounted in a safe manner not to endanger any persons safety
• To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.
• All other duties as assigned
• At least five years recent experience working as a System Technician on large security system
• Must have valid Genetec Security Center Technical Certifications
• Valid DMP Certification required
• Experience using Assa Abloy system platforms would be an asset
• Fall Arrest Certificates required
• Aerial Platform Certificate required
• CSTS certification required
• Working knowledge of all camera manufactures and how to upgrade software to common devices
• LAN/Networking experience as it relates to edge devices
• Must be able to meet deadlines while under stressful timelines
• Able to work all shifts including overnights
• Must be able to pass criminal record checks and AGLC Screening (if required)
• Must be able to successful complete key personnel with the AGLC (if required)

The schedule for this position may vary and would require the ability to work shift work, late nights, weekends and holidays. The Security Systems Technician will be required to be on his/her feet for most of his/her entire shift conducting physically demanding work having manual dexterity to hang/mount all different types of devices.
