Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking a Full-Time Mobile Guard to cover sites across the Niagara Region. The role operates on continental night shifts (2000-0800) with a rotating schedule and travel between client sites.

You will perform mobile patrols, document incidents, and maintain clear communication with dispatch and clients while upholding Paladin’s standards. Requirements include a valid Ontario security license, a valid driver’s license with 3+ years driving experience, and proficient English

Responsibilities

• Be alert and observant during outdoor patrols in all weather conditions.
• Maintain communications with dispatchers, client and Paladin leadership.
• Document and report security incidents and patrol findings.
• Conduct mobile patrols diligently and follow client procedures.
• Represent Paladin and clients professionally; comply with laws and company policies.

• Position: Full-Time Mobile Guard
• Site: Various sites in Niagara Region
• Hours: Continental Nights (2000-0800 hrs)
• Schedule:
  • Week 1- Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
  • Week 2 - Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
• Payrate: $19.50/hr.
• Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement after 88 Hours
• Posting Date: September 9, 2026

Essential Job Functions

• Being alert and observant while being outside, standing or walking for an extended period in all weather conditions (Rain, Snow, Excessive Heat & Cold...etc.)
• Always Maintain communications with fellow Security Guard/dispatchers, Cliental and Paladin Managerial Staff.
• Ensures all site staff adhere to all Paladin Security policies and procedures
• Ensures proper documentation is passed onto the Shift Leads/Dispatchers, client and Paladin leadership team
• Completing mobile patrols diligently
• Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints
• Communicate any concerns/issues with Supervisor/Client Service Manager or the client
• Ensuring any deficiencies with the vehicle are reported to Paladin leadership team
• Ability to work alone and be self-motivated
• Always Maintain the highest standard of security, being professional in attitude, appearance and application.
• Represent Paladin Security and their respected customers in such a way as to enhance the quality, image and reputation.
• Perform security duties in accordance with established procedures. Ensure they are being conducted within the limitations of any federal, provincial and municipal laws.
• Be observant and record all discrepancies, deficiencies and safety hazards/ concerns noted during patrols and take corrective action either informing the applicable department or handling it personally, whenever possible.
• Perform duties and tasks assigned by the Security Leadership team and respond to the directions of the client.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid G-Class driver's license with a minimum of 3 years of total driving experience and be able to provide an clean driver's abstract/record covering the past 3 years.
• Valid Ontario Security License
• Immunization Record including MMR. Varicella, Covid19 and 2 TB tests
• Able to provide a clean shaven face in order to pass a N95 mask fit test
• Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in security
• Must be able to drive for longer period of times
• Must be comfortable with a dashboard camera recording device installed and operating in the company vehicle at all times.
• Proficient in English (both oral and written)
• Degree in Police Foundations, PSI, Criminology, or Border Services is an asset
• Must provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB). Applicants without certifications may opt into Paladin's UOF/MOAB training before onboarding. Training is unpaid as a prerequisite, but Paladin covers all costs with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability.
