Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Security Supervisor in Saskatoon to oversee daily security operations, schedules, and incident reporting. You will monitor access points, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with tenants and staff to protect assets.

The role requires a college diploma in security or law enforcement, plus 2+ years in retail security and proven supervisory experience. CPR/First Aid/ED policies apply; compensation ranges with market rates.

Qualifications

  • College diploma in Law Enforcement and/or Security Administration.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in retail environment.
  • Proven supervisory experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be self-motivated, diplomatic and confident to deal with tenants and the public.
  • Possess a valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License.
  • Familiar with health & safety legislation (WHMIS, OH&S).
  • Certified in CPR, First Aid, AED & Oxygen Administration.
  • Must provide Clear Criminal Background Certificate.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize workload.
  • Able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • All duties and responsibilities normally performed by site security personnel.
  • Daily supervision of Security Personnel; oversee scheduling, security assignments, incident reporting and patrols.
  • Oversee monitoring of sensitive areas and controlled access points.
  • Respond to security and life-safety requests from customers, tenants, and employees.
  • React to emergencies and coordinate activities per policies.
  • Ensure staff compliance with logs, memos, instructions and policies.
  • Oversee inspections and equipment operations; supervise memo books and uniforms.
  • Assist Security Manager with training and development of personnel.
  • Ensure security reports are completed and filed to site standards.
  • Maintain communications with tenants and local authorities.
  • Assist in implementing emergency procedures and disaster recovery plans.
  • Other tasks as directed by Security Manager/General Manager.

Provide feedback to improve the process in the protection of assets; Ensure that proper procedures are observed relative to reporting of liability claims and completion of occurrence reports. Maintain communications with retail tenants, local law enforcement agencies local fire prevention personnel and local emergency medical services personnel. Help implementation of emergency procedures, disaster recovery plans, building access control, security systems, reports and recommendations. Any other tasks as directed by the Security Manager and/or General Manager.

The preferred candidates will possess:

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $ 46,750.00 - $55,000.00
