Job summary

Commissionaires Nova Scotia is seeking a Shift Supervisor for the Cobequid Pass Toll Plaza in Great Village, Nova Scotia. The role features 12-hour rotating shifts (0500–1700 and 1700–0500) with a wage of $24.00 per hour and a closing date of September 28, 2026.

Qualifications

• Be aged 19 or older.
• Not have a criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted.
• Be able to provide fingerprints and complete a criminal record check.
• Be eligible to apply for, and pass: Government of Canada Enhanced Reliability; Emergency First Aid & CPR.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and leading employees on assigned shifts.
• Coach, motivate and provide feedback.
• Ensure compliance with CNS standards, policies and procedures.
• Ensure timely and accurate communication and incident reports.
• Submit service activity reports for equipment malfunctions.
• Collect money from Toll Collectors and submit accurate deposits.
• Address and resolve complaints professionally and promptly.
• Keep Site Supervisor and client informed of events and incidents.
• Provide break relief for Toll Collectors.
• Conduct site patrols.
