Commissionaires Nova Scotia (CNS) is seeking a dependable Security Guard to help create safe, welcoming environments through proactive patrols and strong customer service at an Eastern Passage site. The role reports to the Site Supervisor and offers pay in the $19.00–$21.00 per hour range with various shifts.

Qualifications

• Superior attention to detail with very good verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Computer literacy, and/or an aptitude to learn is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide access control at the main site entrance, exit, and building entrance through identification verification.
• Conduct roving foot patrols of assigned areas to help maintain the security of the site and perimeter.
• Monitor security systems, cameras, and alarms, where applicable.
• Create and issue building access and identification passes.
• Conduct vehicle searches prior to entry to the site.
• Provide security monitoring during concrete pours, as required.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and records of site activities and incidents.
