What you will do:

Perform installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting activities on Intrusion Alarm Systems, Access Control, CCTV, Intercom, Network infrastructure, PA Systems, and other PC-based Systems. How you will do it:

1. Perform installation and verification activities on security-related equipment for large installations, including running cables, installing devices, testing, and commissioning.
2. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, submittals, and specifications.
3. Complete “As Built” drawings upon project completion.
4. Complete reports for submission to customers and carry out system acceptance tests with AHJs and other interested parties.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of various product lines.
6. Consult with clients to assess risk and determine security requirements.
7. Participate in rotation on-call schedule.

What we look for:

Required:

• Working knowledge of equipment application, compatibility, mounting techniques, programming, and testing.
• Completion of Electronic Technician program or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license; must pass driving background check.

Preferred:

• Experience supporting the implementation of analog, hybrid, and IP CCTV systems, access control systems, intercom systems, wireless Intrusion Systems, and hardwired intrusion systems.
• Certification on systems like Kantech, Genetec, DMP, Exacq, Avigilon, and DSC preferred.
• Knowledge of local and national codes for inspection and testing.
• Ability to program basic operations on micro-processor based systems without supervision.
• Proficiency in computer operation and MS operating systems.
• Ability to configure PC hardware and application programs.
• Computer network experience and qualifications are a strong asset.
• Experience in construction industry and construction management.
• Experience in low voltage system design or design assistance is desirable.
• Understanding of technical system architecture.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with electronic test equipment.
• Good communication skills and understanding of communication protocols.
• Excellent customer service skills.
