Job summary

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is seeking a Commissionaire to join our Mobile Support team in London, Ontario. You will patrol client sites, respond to alarms, and assist with parking enforcement and ATM escorts, documenting incidents with our reporting software.

Qualified candidates hold a valid Ontario Security Guard license, First Aid/CPR, a full G class license, and can obtain a Reliability Security Clearance. This full-time role offers night hours and competitive wages with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Ontario Security Guard license.
• Must hold a valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Full G class license with a clean drivers abstract.
• Able to obtain Reliability Security Clearance (minimum 5 years residency in Canada).

Responsibilities

• Conduct property patrols at client locations according to site instructions.
• Respond to and investigate alarm calls.
• Complete patrol and incident reports using reporting software and paper forms.
• Coordinate with Police, Fire, and EMS as required during incidents.
• Perform stand-downs to ensure continuity of guard service.

INTRODUCTION:

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing Mobile Support team.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Conduct property patrols of client locations, in accordance with site instructions.
• Respond to and investigate alarm calls when dispatched.
• Conduct Private Property Parking Enforcement at client locations, in accordance with City by-laws and site procedures.
  
• Conduct ATM escort duties as required.
• Operate company patrol vehicle in accordance with company policy and HTA regulations.
• Enforce the Trespass to Property Act when required.
• Liaise with Police, Fire, EMS as appropriate during incidents.
• Complete patrol and incident reports utilizing reporting software, and paper reports as required.
• Maintain professionalism at all times, during all interactions.
• Be responsible for the care and upkeep of company vehicle and all assigned equipment during your shift.
• Undertake all training assigned to you in a timely fashion.
• Report concerns or complaints received to Supervisor or Manager
• Be available to adjust schedule as required to accommodate the needs of the patrol team.
• Perform 'stand downs' at client locations to ensure continuity of guard service, as requested by supervisor or manager.
• Perform other duties as requested by Supervisor or Manager

WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:

• *Mandatory*- Must hold a ValidOntario Security Guard License.
• *Mandatory* - Valid WSIB accredited First Aid and CPR certificate
• *Mandatory* - Full G class license and Clean Drivers Abstract
• *Mandatory* - Be able to obtain a Reliability Security Clearance-
  minimum 5 Years of Residency in Canada
• Must be 25 years of age old or older for company insurance.
• Good Computer skills especially with MS Office suite and Security management software
• Willing to complete CGL's Use of Force Class
• Minimum 2 years of Mobile security guarding experience

CERTIFICATIONS:

• Preferred - A diploma in Police Foundations
• Preferred - Post Secondary Certificate
• Preferred - Prior Use of Force experience
• Must have undertaken Escalation and conflict resolution training.
• Must hold a valid security guard license.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificate

• Hours of work: 1900-0700 (Continental Shift)
