Job summary

GDI Ainsworth seeks a Security Installer/Technician to deliver installations and ongoing servicing of access control, CCTV, intercom, RTLS, and intruder alarm systems across commercial, government, and healthcare environments.

You will work to CANASA and industry standards, staying current with new technologies, and support preventive visits, fault diagnosis, and team-based project delivery while upholding the company’s values.

Qualifications

• Experience with CCTV, Access Control, Door Entry and Intruder Alarm Systems.
• 2–5 years in Electronic Security Systems.
• Knowledge of Systems Networking and IP Configuration.
• Must be capable of obtaining a Federal Level II Security Clearance.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Familiar with AMAG, Avigilon, Genetec, ICT, RS2, Salient.

Responsibilities

• Deliver installations and ongoing servicing of security systems in commercial and government sites.

Job Summary:

The Security Installer /Technician primary responsibilities will be to deliver project for the complete installation and continued servicing of medium and large, access control, CCTV systems, intercom, RTLS, and intruder alarm in commercial, government, health care environments, to company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Have a passion for the trade and is a problem solver with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent customer communication skills and is a team player with a can-do attitude.
• Have a good knowledge of CANASA and security industry Standards.
• You should be able to manage your work and exhibit the company’s vision and values.
• You must have experience working in a similar role in the security industry.
• Multi-disciplined in the security industry from service, small works, fault-finding and maintenance, and having installation knowledge.
• Hold a Full Clean Driving License - Essential for this post.
• Must have the ability to adapt to new technologies.
• Depending on experience, the person will be expected to deal with pre-booked preventative visits on small or large systems.
• Must have excellent fault diagnosis skills, including working on more complex systems, and occasions will assist with the installation team on similar projects.

Qualifications:

• Experience with CCTV, Access Control, Door Entry and Intruder Alarm Systems and Nurse call System
• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience working within the Electronic Security Systems industry
• Knowledge and experience of Systems Networking and IP Configuration
• Must be capable of obtaining a Federal Level II Security Clearance
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Staying current on the entire line of security solutions provided by Ainsworth (i.e. AMAG, Avigilon, Genetec, ICT, RS2, Salient, etc..)
