Job summary

GDI Ainsworth in Mississauga is seeking a Nurse Call & RTLS Technician to install, commission and service RTLS and nurse call systems across healthcare environments. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work with engineers and technicians to deliver reliable solutions.

The role requires 2–5 years of RTLS and nurse call experience, strong networking and IT knowledge, and the ability to work independently. Hybrid work options and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of RTLS and nurse call system experience.
• Must be computer literate with networking ability and operating systems knowledge.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• System integration and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in ICT design for healthcare environments.
• Experience delivering RTLS and nurse call solutions is preferred.
• Technical writing to document problem resolution and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Service, install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain and inspect RTLS and nurse call systems.
• Diagnose issues with network electronic systems and software.
• Commission front-end workstations and servers.
• Provide onsite validation and testing of RTLS and nurse call systems.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Nurse Call & RTLS Technician is responsible for installing, commissioning, and servicing multiple healthcare technologies including but not limited to RTLS and nurse call systems

Key Responsibilities

• Service, install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain and inspect RTLS and nurse call systems
• Diagnosing and Troubleshoot issues with the network electronic systems and software
• Commission front-end workstations & servers
• Diagnosing and Troubleshoot issues with the network electronic systems and software
• Ability to troubleshoot existing installations or utilize as-built drawings and documentation where available to correct deficiencies and repair systems without supervision
• Provide onsite validation and testing of RTLS and nurse call systems
• Ensure customer requests and status are followed up on time and in a professional way
• Perform all assigned preventative maintenance, repair and emergency service calls
• Develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with the company’s team of managers, engineers, and technicians; the client; and consulting engineers
• Effectively communicate and maintain project status with Management, Contractors, and Customers

Qualifications

• Diploma, or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent job related knowledge
• Must have a minimum 2-5 years related experience in RTLS and nurse call systems
• Must be computer literate, have networking ability and a good knowledge of operating systems
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
• System integration and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in system integration, network topology and Virtual Environment.
• Experience with Information Communication Technology design in the health care environment.
• Experience in delivering RTLS and nurse call solutions
• Technical writing skills to support documentation of problem resolution / solution improvement
• Knowledge of technology deployed in the Health Care environment.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred

The pay range is $25.00 - $55.00 per hour. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data. The base salary is just one component of Ainsworth’s total compensation package, which also includes additional rewards and benefits such as health insurance, among others
