Job summary

GDI Ainsworth in Surrey, BC is seeking a Security Systems Technician to install and troubleshoot security components in residential and commercial settings.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, coordinating with customers, installing and servicing access control, CCTV and intrusion alarms, planning installations, wiring, testing, and documenting work. A senior role may require certification and programming experience.

Qualifications

  • Progressive experience in a technical role within the integrated security or low voltage industry is required.
  • Minimum five years of experience in security industry (Access control, CCTV)
  • Previous experience leading installations at the site level preferred.
  • Programming experience preferred for senior positions.
  • Vendor Certification in low voltage systems is preferred.
  • Valid TQ certification required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an asset.
  • Background check and security clearance

  • Relationship building with clients and prospects for future opportunities.
  • Provide unparalleled customer service excellence.
  • Help build and maintain positive relations within the team.
  • Protect organizations values by keeping information confidential.

This position is based in Surrey, British Columbia and offers a competitive wages as IBEW CBA Addendum @ $39.92/hr + 12% pension, 3 weeks vacation and benefits.
