  • Programming experience preferred for senior positions.
  • Background check and security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Installing and servicing electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarms.
  • Plan installations by surveying and evaluating location, identifying requirements, and developing a plan.
  • Install equipment, run wiring, and program and calibrate equipment.
  • Verify systems functioning properly by testing equipment, connections, and signals, and fixing issues.
  • Maintain records by documenting installations and service performed.
  • Troubleshoot systems, resolve issues for customers and end users.
  • Relationship building with clients and prospects for future opportunities.
  • Provide unparalleled customer service excellence.
  • Help build and maintain positive relations within the team.
  • Protect organizations values by keeping information confidential.

Education

Postsecondary training in electronics
TQ certification
Vendor certification in low voltage systems

Job Summary:

The Security Systems Technician will primarily be responsible to install, and trouble shoot security system components in residential and commercial settings.

Qualifications:
  • Progressive experience in a technical role within the integrated security or low voltage industry(s) is required.
  • Minimum five years of experience in security industry (Access control, CCTV)
  • Previous experience leading installations at the site level preferred.
  • Programming experience preferred for senior positions.
  • Vendor Certification in low voltage systems is preferred.
  • Valid TQ certification required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an asset.
  • Background check and security clearance

This position is based in Surrey, British Columbia and offers a competitive wages as IBEW CBA Addendum @ $39.92/hr + 12% pension, 3 weeks vacation and benefits.
