Commissionaires Victoria The Islands Yukon is hiring security professionals to provide access control and patrols across Vancouver Island and the Yukon. You will respond to emergencies, maintain safety procedures, and report incidents with accuracy.

The role requires a Government of Canada secret (level II) security clearance or ability to obtain one, plus excellent English communication and a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Possess a Government of Canada secret (level II) security clearance or be able to obtain one.
• Able to remain alert on duty and work in varied weather conditions.
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to clients and the general public.
• Provide access control and security foot/mobile patrols as needed.
• Proactively respond to and resolve emergency situations and conflicts.
• Complete evacuation and emergency response procedures when necessary.
• Use mobile phones and basic computer programs.
• Communicate problems to the site supervisor.
• Maintain high safety standards and incident reporting.

• Location: DND Sites (CFB Esquimalt, CFAD -Rocky Pt , 443 Helicopter Squadron) Shifts: Various days, evenings, and overnight shifts Schedule: Various Shifts Reports to: Site Supervisor Starting Wage: $20.00/hr - $21.41/hr Job Responsibilities Provide superior customer service to clients and the general public.

Communicate problems or concerns to the site supervisor.

Possess excellent multi-tasking, problem-solving, prioritizing and organizational abilities.

Know occupational health and safety regulations – training provided.

Perform all duties with high safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience Posses a Government of Canada secret (level II) security clearance or have the ability to obtain one. Ability to remain alert while on duty. Ability to work in a range of weather conditions throughout shift.

Must complete the online Commissionaire Security Officer Course Be willing to obtain a BC security worker's license.

Be comfortable using computers.

Fluent in the English language - written, verbal and reading skills.

Have a positive attitude with a professional demeanour.

Have excellent attention to complete incident report writing.

Have excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations.
