Paladin Security Group is seeking a part-time Security Guard for a night schedule at 70 University Avenue, Toronto. The role involves acting as a front desk concierge, managing reception and access control, and ensuring safety across the site.

Qualifications

Position Overview

Title: Security Guard

Employment Type: Part-time

Pay Rate: $20.80/hour

Site: 70 University Avenue

Schedule: Friday and Saturday, 23:00 – 07:00

Overtime Methodology: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Steps from Union Station and directly connected to the PATH, this site offers a vibrant environment serving professional firms, luxury amenities, and fine dining establishments.

What You'll Be Doing

Act as the primary front desk concierge, providing a welcoming and professional presence for all employees, visitors, and clients.

Handle telephone reception duties efficiently while maintaining a polished company image.

Manage access control for employees, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site rules and regulations.

Protect life and property through regular monitoring, emergency response coordination, and crime prevention.

Respond effectively to site risks, including security concerns, fire safety checks, and water damage prevention.

Must Haves

Minimum 1 year of security guard experience.

Proficient in English (both written and spoken).

Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Ability to complete Use of Force and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (UoF/MOAB) training. (Note: This pre-requisite certification is unpaid, but Paladin covers all training costs with a 6-month commitment to the role).
