Job summary

Commissionaires Great Lakes is seeking a Commissionaire to join our team at 777 Garner Rd E, Ancaster. This casual/part-time role offers overnight shifts and attentive security service to our clients.

Responsibilities include access control, patrols, incident management, CCTV monitoring, first aid, and coordination of backfill coverage to keep shifts staffed. You will work independently, maintain high service standards, and support campus safety.

Qualifications

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma required.
• Must have valid Ontario Security Guard License.
• Must have valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Vulnerable Sector Check completed prior to start date.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and patrol.
• Ability to work alone with high level of service.

• Conduct internal and external patrols.
• Prevent theft, disorders and disturbance.
• Incident management.
• Prepare site schedule and coordinate backfill coverage to keep shifts staffed.
• Provide visitors/contractor escort.
• CCTV monitoring.
• Emergency First Aid response.
• Fire safety prevention.
• Building systems monitoring.
• Alarm response.
• Assist students with access to dorms and campus areas.
• Other duties as assigned by the Client and supervisor.

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Manage security reception/ access control
