Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Tactical Security Guard for a Government Complex in Brantford, ON. The role involves patrolling government buildings, sports facilities, retail environments, and secure facilities to deter threats and ensure safety.

You will monitor alarms and cameras, check IDs, enforce access control, and coordinate with law enforcement when needed. A valid security license and First Aid certification are required, along with the ability to stand and walk during shifts.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada.
• Holds a valid security license.
• First aid certification.
• 1 year of security industry experience.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.
• Able to pass an Advanced Use of Force Training Course.
• Knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Powers of Arrest.

Responsibilities

• Patrol critical areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Check identification and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents and document actions taken
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Handle alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Community outreach with vulnerable populations
• Enforcement of the Trespass to Property Act

What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk and act accordingly. Your keen sense of observation and strong social skills are your greatest strengths.

As a Tactical Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as Government Buildings, Sports Facilities, Retail Environments , Secure Facilities, etc.

Shift Timings: Friday 09:15 - 18:15 & Saturday 09:15-17:15

Location: N6B 2S3
