Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Tactical Security Guard to patrol Government Buildings, sports facilities, retail environments and other secure sites in Ontario. You will read the environment, anticipate risk and act decisively, using strong observation and social skills.

Physical mobility is essential for shifts including Friday and Saturday coverage. We offer a wage of $20.60 per hour, with GardaWorld Academy and ongoing education, flexible schedules, career growth, and both full-time and part-time

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
• Valid security license required.
• First aid certification required.
• 1 year of security industry experience.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.
• Must pass Advanced Use of Force Training Course.
• Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act and Powers of Arrest.

Responsibilities

• Patrol critical areas to spot suspicious activity.
• Check identification and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents and document actions taken.
• Check alarms and cameras for proper functioning.
• Handle alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Engage with the community, including vulnerable populations.
• Enforce Trespass to Property Act.

Ready to suit up as a Tactical Security Guard?

What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk and act accordingly. Your keen sense of observation and strong social skills are your greatest strengths.

As a Tactical Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as Government Buildings, Sports Facilities, Retail Environments , Secure Facilities, etc.

Shift Timings: Friday 09:15 - 18:15 & Saturday 09:15-17:15

Location: N6B 2S3
