Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Tactical Security Guard for government complexes in Ontario. The role focuses on environmental awareness, risk anticipation, and decisive action during shifts, including nights.

You will patrol varied sites, monitor alarms and cameras, and collaborate with law enforcement when incidents occur. Requirements include Canadian work authorization, a valid security license, First Aid, and fitness to move throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada.
• First aid certification.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Advanced Use of Force Training required.
• Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act and Powers of Arrest.

Responsibilities

• Patrol critical areas and monitor for suspicious activity.
• Check IDs and control access to secure areas.
• Respond quickly to threats and document actions.
• Test alarms and cameras for proper operation.
• Manage alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Coordinate with law enforcement during incidents.
• Engage with communities to ensure safety.
• Enforce related property acts as needed.

What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk and act accordingly. Your keen sense of observation and strong social skills are your greatest strengths.

As a Tactical Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as Government Buildings, Sports Facilities, Retail Environments , Secure Facilities, etc.

Shift Timings: Monday - Friday 23:00- 07:00

Location: N3S 7N9

Responsibilities for a Tactical Security Guard

• Patrol critical areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Check identification and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents and document actions taken
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Handle alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Community outreach with vulnerable populations
• Enforcement of the Trespass to Property Act

Qualifications for a Tactical Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid security license
• First aid certification
