Job summary

GardaWorld in Timmins, Ontario, is seeking a Tactical Security Guard for full-time work with flexible daytime shifts (10:00 am–9:00 pm, Mon–Fri). The role emphasizes vigilance, rapid threat response, and maintaining safe environments in retail and other facilities.

Compensation includes an hourly wage of 24.75 CAD, with GardaWorld Academy-sponsored education and opportunities for career advancement. Uniforms are provided at no cost.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid security license.
• First aid certification required.
• Ability to stand and walk throughoutshift.

Responsibilities

• Patrol critical areas to spot any suspicious activity.
• Check identification and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents and document actions taken.
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras.
• Handle alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents.

As a Tactical Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, security facility centers, etc.

Schedule: Full time position with variable hours, candidates must be available to work shifts between 10:00 am and 9:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
