Job summary

Identigate Security Services Inc. is hiring a Security Guard to maintain a safe environment for clients, residents, visitors, and properties in the Toronto area. You will patrol, monitor CCTV and access control, verify authorized personnel, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

We offer flexible shifts, competitive pay of $19.00 per hour, and opportunities for growth within a supportive security team. Full-time and part-time roles are available across various sites.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence mandatory.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional and effective under pressure.
• 2+ years experience in security/concierge or related fields is an asset.
• Basic computer skills for reporting, CCTV monitoring and emails.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence to deter unauthorized activity and enhance safety.
• Conduct patrols of buildings, parking garages, exterior areas, common areas and other locations.
• Monitor CCTV, access control, alarms and other security equipment.
• Control access and verify residents, visitors, contractors, deliveries and authorized personnel.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, emergencies and security incidents.
• Enforce site policies, rules, and parking regulations.
• Prepare accurate daily activity, incident, patrol and occurrence reports.
• Provide professional assistance and customer service to residents and stakeholders.
• Report safety hazards and maintenance concerns promptly.
• Cooperate with police, fire, EMS and property management when required.

Position Overview

As a Security Guard with Identigate Security Services Inc., you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, residents, visitors, employees, and properties. Successful candidates will demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to respond effectively to security-related situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence to deter unauthorized activity and enhance safety.
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled patrols of buildings, parking garages, exterior areas, common areas, and other designated locations.
• Monitor CCTV surveillance systems, access control systems, alarms, and other security equipment.
• Control access to properties and verify residents, visitors, contractors, deliveries, and other authorized personnel as required.
• Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, suspicious activity, and security incidents.
• Enforce site-specific policies, property rules, parking regulations, and security procedures respectfully and consistently.
• Prepare accurate and detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, patrol reports, and occurrence reports.
• Provide professional assistance and customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, property management, and other stakeholders.
• Immediately report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, suspicious activities, emergencies, and unusual occurrences.
• Cooperate with police, fire, emergency medical services, property management, and other authorities when required.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism while representing Identigate Security Services Inc.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence – mandatory.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective under pressure.
• Previous two years (2) experience in security, condominium, residential, commercial, concierge, or customer service is considered an asset.
• Basic computer skills for electronic reporting, email communication, CCTV monitoring, and security systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Flexible availability for various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays, is an asset.

Compensation

$19.00 per hour
