Job summary

Securitas Canada seeks highly motivated security personnel to support construction sites and corporate locations in Etobicoke and Thornhill. You must be able to work outside, no exceptions.

Wages: $19.00/hr+ (depending on site). Shift timings: All Shift Availability. Must be able to work 40 hours a week. The posting will remain open until filled.

Qualifications

• Ontario Security License is required.
• First Aid and CPR certifications are required.
• At least 6 months security experience in large-scale operations preferred.
• Thorough understanding of security protocols and emergency response.
• G or G2 driver’s license is required; vehicle is needed to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• De-escalate tense situations by verbal communication to reduce risk.
• Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
• Respond to medical emergencies and perform CPR/AED if needed.
• Unlock and lock doors for access by authorized persons; deny entry to unauthorized individuals.
• Ensure only authorized construction workers enter the premises.
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors of breaches.
• Perform foot patrols outside the facility including gatehouse duties as required.

• De-escalate tense situations by verbal communication using a variety of techniques designed to reduce risk.
• Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
• Unlock and lock doors for access by authorized persons. Denying entry to anyone without authorization.
• Ensure construction workers on the list are only allowed to enter premises.
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
• Perform foot patrols outside the facility including gatehouse duties when required.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
• 6 months minimum of security experience minimum within large scale security operations is strongly preferred.
• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
• G or G2 class drivers' licence is required. Vehicle is required to travel to the sites. Some sites will require a G Licence.
• Customer service experience is a strong asset.
