Job summary

GardaWorld in Brantford, Ontario, is seeking a Surveillance Security Guard to monitor CCTV, assess incidents, and de-escalate situations while ensuring safety across various sites. The role emphasizes sharp observation, attention to detail, and professional interactions with the public and staff.

You will patrol interior and exterior areas, control access, and document incidents. The position offers flexible shifts, both full-time and part-time, with uniform provided and opportunities for career

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid security license.
• First aid certification required.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Good eyesight and ability to maintain focus.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• De-escalate situations professionally and maintain positive, respectful interactions.
• Respond promptly to elevated voices, incidents, and potential security threats.
• Monitor CCTV, alarm panels, and other security systems for suspicious activity or concerns.
• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols, including parking lots.
• Maintain a visible and alert presence to deter unauthorized or suspicious activity.
• Monitor and control access to secure areas and verify visitor identification.
• Identify and report security system issues, vulnerabilities, or malfunctions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and prepare detailed incident and activity reports.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and work with law enforcement when required.

What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths.

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they expand in environments such as security operation centres , call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Schedule: Fridays 0830-1830 & Saturdays 0830-1630

Location: N3T 2Z7
