Paladin Security is seeking High Profile Security Guards for a Downtown Vancouver shopping centre site. This on-call position offers full-time hours and opportunities for growth as you cover various shifts throughout the week.

Ideal candidates hold a BC Security Worker License and have 6–12 months of security or customer service experience. Strong communication and report-writing skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security Worker License is required.
• 6–12 months of security or customer service experience.
• Downtown Vancouver experience is an asset.
• Ability to handle incidents independently and calmly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the site.
• Handle evictions and interact with individuals under the influence.
• Daily interaction with police, public, clients and tenants.
• Manage situations involving narcotics and aggressive behaviour.
• Write detailed incident reports.
• Monitor CCTV and communicate via radio.
• Enforce property rules and bylaws.
• Support emergency responders as needed.

Job Skills / Requirements

We are currently looking for High Profile Security Guards to join our team for a shopping centre site in Downtown Vancouver. This is an on‑call position with full‑time hours provided and room for growth. You will be responsible for covering various shifts throughout the week.

Shift Availability: Must be open to work any 5‑days of the week (Sun‑Sat), either Graveyards (0000-0800hrs), OR Mornings & Afternoons.

You are a good fit if you have:

• A valid BC Security Worker License
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in security or customer service
• Customer service experience in Downtown Vancouver is an asset
• Experience handling aggression or dealing with incidents independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong comprehension and report writing ability
• Good work ethic and professional deportment
• Cheerful and helpful customer service approach
• Physically fit - walking 20k-30k steps per shift is expected
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
• AST certification is an asset
