Position Overview

Title: Security Guard - BST Certification Provided

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Rate: $18.75 - $23.00 per hour

Site Overview

We place guards across a wide range of active client environments, including healthcare facilities, post-secondary campuses, commercial office towers, retail centers, government sites, warehouses, and major event venues hosting concerts and sports events.

What You'll Be Doing

Conduct regular foot patrols across indoor and outdoor areas, including stairwells, parkades, and uneven terrain.

De-escalate conflicts and maintain a safe, welcoming atmosphere for staff, clients, and visitors.

Respond to alarms and emergency situations, providing first aid assistance when required.

Control access to facilities and monitor CCTV systems.

Write clear, detailed incident reports following site policies.

Must Haves

Do not currently hold a valid BC Security License (this program provides free 40-hour Basic Security Training upon commitment to 6 months of full-time work).

Legal authorization to work in Canada.

Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken, with the confidence to speak with team members, clients, members of the public, and emergency responders.

Physical capability to stand and patrol for the majority of a shift in varying weather conditions.

Nice-to-Haves

Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.

An interest in community safety, law enforcement, or helping others.
