Job summary

Securiguard Services Ltd. in Mississauga, Ontario, is hiring experienced Retail Security Guards to protect shoppers and staff at premier retail locations. You will monitor premises, assist customers, and report incidents promptly to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

The role requires 1 year of security experience, an Ontario Security License, First Aid/CPR Level C, and the ability to communicate via radio or CCTV software. We offer training and career growth in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• 1 year of security experience in healthcare, mall/retail, campus or government environments.
• Diploma in security or law enforcement is an asset.
• Ontario Security License and Standard First Aid with Level C CPR.
• Comfort with two-way radio/dispatch and CCTV software.
• Ability to de-escalate and manage crowds.
• Ability to stand/patrol for up to 12 hours.
• Strong report-writing skills.
• Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act and Criminal Code equivalents.
• Conflict resolution and good judgment.
• Ability to conduct arrests where appropriate.

Requirements

• 1 year of security experience, w/ preferably in a Healthcare, Mall/Retail, Campus, Gov’ts environment, and/or a diploma in the field of security or law enforcement
• Education background in law enforcement, such as Police Foundation/Criminology/Protection Security and Investigation is an asset.
• Valid Ontario Security License & Valid Standard First Aid & Level C CPR with AED
• Comfort with two-way radio communication/dispatch and/or CCTV software
• Approaches a situation with a listening mindset and empathy
• Ability to problem solve, effective with crowd management and use discretion and good judgment
• Punctuality & Able to stand/patrol up for up to 12 hours.
• Strong ability to prepare professional daily and/or incident security reports.
• Knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act (TPA), Canada Criminal Code, and 494(c)
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
• Ability to conduct arrests within appropriate and sanctioned situations.
