Job summary

Paladin Security Group in Smiths Falls, Ontario, is seeking a full-time Security Guard for the Lanark County Mental Health site. The role is on-site with a pay rate of CA$22.12 per hour, Monday to Thursday, 18:30–00:30.

Requirements include First Aid & CPR Level C, Vulnerable Sector Check, G2 license, vaccination, and clean-shaven mask fit. You will maintain a professional security presence, greet staff and visitors, conduct patrols, enforce policies, and prepare incident reports.

Qualifications

• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certificate from a WSIB-approved provider.
• Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check during onboarding.
• Valid G2 driver's license (or higher) and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to be clean-shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum double vaccination).
• Immunization records showing full immunity for MMR, Varicella, and TB test result at hire.
• Valid certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB), or willingness to complete Paladin's pre-onboarding training program.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.
• Ability to commit to a minimum of 6 months in this role and schedule.

Site Overview

Lanark County Mental Health provides essential mental health support and healthcare services to the local community. Security guards at this location play a vital role in keeping the site safe, welcoming, and secure during evening hours, supporting a respectful environment for staff, clients, and visitors.

What You'll Be Doing

Nice-to-Haves

Minimum 6 months of security experience in a healthcare or corporate environment.

6 or more months of customer service experience.

Bilingualism (English and French).
