Job description

Lemare Forestry Ltd. is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Second Cook to join our remote logging camp team near Prince Rupert, BC. The Second Cook plays a key role in assisting the Head Cook with daily meal preparation and maintaining high standards of food service for camp staff.

Duties

• Assist the Head Cook with preparing, seasoning, and cooking daily meals
• Ensure meals are prepared in accordance with Food Safe standards
• Support menu planning, grocery orders, and inventory management as required
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas
• Assist with dishes, food storage, and lunchroom setup
• Step in to cover Head Cook duties when required

Qualifications

• Previous camp cooking experience (asset)
• Valid Food Safe Certificate (required)
• Red Seal Cook Certification or equivalent (asset)
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs throughout a shift
• Team-oriented, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced, remote environment
