Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a cook to prepare, proof and cook food to meet corporate standards while maintaining high quality and safety. The role supports high-volume production and requires strong mise en place practices, clean work areas, and adherence to health policies.

The successful candidate will have proven cooking experience, a valid Food Safety Certification, and a certificate from a recognized cooking school. Flexibility to work as part of a cohesive kitchen team is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a restaurant cook or prep cook.
• Food Safety Certification required.
• Certificate from a recognized cooking school.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, pre-cook and/or cook food products as directed.
• Prepare mise en place and other products for high volume production.
• Clean kitchen equipment after use according to health and safety policies.
• Label, date, store and rotate food and beverage products in storage areas.
• Communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
• Report maintenance issues or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
