Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a cook to prepare, pre-cook and cook food in accordance with corporate standards, ensuring quality service in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Proven cooking experience and ability to cook across multiple stations.
• Food Safety Certification required.
• Certificate from a recognized cooking school.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiar with industry’s best practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, pre-cook and/or cook food products as directed.
• Prepare mise en place and other items for high-volume production.
• Clean kitchen equipment after use per health and safety policies.
• Label, date, store and rotate food and beverage products properly.
• Communicate effectively with appropriate operational departments.
• Report maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
